Position Summary:

The Director of Product Marketing builds and leads the Product Marketing Team to serve new and existing business and a growing portfolio of Pax8 properties. They own the adoption and engagement of the products. The Director is responsible for harnessing insights that help shape product features and positioning, driving launch and go-to-market strategy/execution, and helping drive partner and customer adoption and engagement of products post-launches and through their product lifecycle.

The Director and their team build deep, collaborative partnerships with Pax8’s Product and Development Team and build a bridge between product strategy and product marketing strategy.  

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Lead the product marketing strategy for Pax8, which includes messaging, positioning, launch planning, and customer/partner adoption
  • Define and document product differentiation and messaging; ensuring positioning is consistently filtered through all product launch materials, campaigns, and touch points
  • Hire and develop a best-in-class product marketing team to drive impact across the product portfolio, laying out a vision by affinity area and scaling the function, while overseeing Pax8’s product marketing strategy, planning, budget and directing go-to-market plans
  • Drive priority alignment across product, engineering, sales, and global campaigns; Act as a liaison for Pax8’s Product and Development Team and as an advocate for our target buyers, continuously surfacing insights from our partners and clients, sales team, and market research
  • Partner with sales enablement and sales strategy to educate our internal teams on how to best position the Pax8 products with prospects, partners, and customers
  • Anticipate market trends and help guide our product messaging to develop differentiated product positioning and messaging aligned to market trends, customer/partner needs, competitive landscape, and product capabilities
  • Work closely with the Global Campaigns team to build go-to-market strategies for our products to ensure we are targeting in the right channels, with the right product for the right audience

Ideal Skills, Experience, and Competencies:

  • At least six (6) years of mastery-level experience in digital strategy with a focus on conversion optimization and user experience for a lead generation or e-commerce focused website
  • At least four (4) years of experience in B2B product or solutions marketing
  • At least four (4) years of leadership experience: hiring, managing, and developing talent
  • Regularly lead cross-functional teams where your influence is indirect
  • Strong understanding and experience in messaging and positioning SaaS value prop to buyer personas of small to mid-enterprises
  • Proven track record in new product launches
  • Results oriented with the ability to move quickly and easily between high level strategy and execution
  • In depth knowledge of website measurement tools and platforms such as Google Analytics
  • Knowledge of UX and SEO best practices for websites, landing pages, and other digital properties

Required Education & Certifications:

  • B.A./B.S. in related field or equivalent work experience


  • Qualified candidates can expect a salary beginning at $170,000 or more depending on experience


*Note: Compensation is benchmarked on local Denver Metro area market rates. Qualified candidates in other locations can expect a salary package that may be adjusted based off applicable cost of wages in their respective location.
